Raghav Juyal got caught in a controversy when during one of the episodes of the famous dance reality show- Dance Deewane 3, he introduced an Assamese contestant in a “Chinese”gibberish and used words like ‘momo’ and ‘chowmein’. The judges of the show who also had a hearty laugh at this have been getting slammed for their ignorance. After receiving backlash for his racist comment, Juyal issued clarification on his social media handle through a video on Monday.
In the video, he said that the people who are calling him out should see the whole show and not the small clip that had been doing the rounds and that they should see how he had been interacting with the contestant. He also mentioned that he has close friends from North-East who he respects and has always stood up for. Raghav apologised to the people that he hurt and stated that it was unintentional.
