Clearing the suspense over the Passing out Parade (PoP) following the death of Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, the Indian Military Academy (IMA) has said that the parade would be held as per the schedule on December 11. The PRO of IMA Dehradun , Lieutenant Colonel Himani Pant said that the PoP would be held as per schedule and would be reviewed by the President of India Ram Nath Kovind. As a mark of respect for General Bipin Rawat, the IMA has decided to scale down the other events.

It is pertinent to mention here that CDS General Rawat was scheduled to accompany the President  in witnessing the PoP. After his accidental death on Wednesday the IMA had canceled the commandant’s parade which was scheduled for Thursday.

In the PoP scheduled for December 11, 319 Indian and 68 Foreign Gentleman Cadets belonging to 149 regular and 132 Technical Graduate Course would pass out from the portals of the academy.
