CM launches development works in Lansdowne

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the foundation stones for 15 development schemes and inaugurated two schemes totaling in cost to Rs 90 crore in Lansdowne area of Pauri district on Sunday. Addressing the gathering on the occasion at the government degree college at Patotiya Nainidanda, the chief minister also announced various new development works in the region. He also presented Mahalakshmi kits to five women and cheques to representatives of 10 self help groups on the occasion. Dhami said that the accidental demise of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat was a major loss for the nation and Uttarakhand. The state has lost a guardian more than a general as he was always eager when it came to the development of Uttarakhand. The government will work to achieve the development in the state as thought of by General Rawat, said Dhami.

Stating that more than 500 decisions had been taken in the five months since he assumed the charge as chief minister, Dhami said that the various development works launched on Sunday will prove to be a milestone for the development of this region. He said, “This government is working consistently to ensure basic facilities in each village of Pauri district. Considering long standing demands, we have raised the honorarium of PRD jawans, UPNL workers, Gram Pradhans, Anganwadi workers and Bhojan Matas. Efforts are also being undertaken for recruitment to 24,000 vacant posts in various departments while loan distribution camps under Mukhyamantri Swarozgar Yojana are being held in every district to link the youth with self employment.”Cabinet minister Banshidhar Bhagat and local MLA Dileep Rawat also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
