Three dead in two road accidents in Doon

Three persons died in two different accidents in Dehradun. A 22-year-old young man Sumit Tamta died and 20-year-old Suraj Prasad sustained injuries in a road accident in Mussoorie on Sunday. According to the police, the accident occurred when the riders lost control of the bike on their way to Mussoorie from Dehradun and crashed near the Galogi powerhouse. Suraj Prasad fell from the bike but got stuck in a tree in the nearby gorge while Sumit Tamta, who was riding the bike, fell deeper into the gorge and died on the spot.
The police informed that the injured man was rescued by the teams of the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF), the police and the Fire Brigade and rushed to the hospital by the 108 emergency Ambulance. The police said that the body of the deceased has been retrieved from the gorge and sent for post-mortem too. Meanwhile, two men also lost their lives after an unknown vehicle hit their bike near Jassowala bridge in Sahaspur on Monday. The police informed that both men- 21-year-old Siddharth Kumar and 35-year-old Sandeep were taken to the nearby hospital but succumbed to their injuries during the treatment. The police have sent the bodies for the post-mortem.
