The officiating chief education officer (CEO) of Haridwar Vidya Shankar Chaturvedi has been suspended by the state administration on the complaints of violation of model code of conduct (MCC). The secretary school education R Meenkashi Sundaram issued suspension orders of Chaturvedi on the recommendation of Director General (DG) school education Vinay Shankar Pandey. The CEO has been accused of making appointments of teachers in aided schools on back date and doing adjustment of teachers after imposition of MCC. As per the order Chaturvedi would remain attached to the office of Director General (DG) education during the period of his suspension.
