The state trial for national winter games concluded at Auli here on Monday. Out of 55 entrants, 27 were selected by the selection committee.
The national winter games are proposed to be held at Auli from February 7 to 9. For this, 55 male and female contenders participated in the trials for seven categories. The skiing association of Chamoli conducted the trials. The association’s head Vivek Panwar said that those who secured the top three positions in the trials were presented with medals. International skier Preeti Dimri also shared her experience with the skiers. The ski and snowboard association secretary Santosh Kunwar said that efforts will be undertaken to provide better training to those who had succeeded in the trials.
