With the number of Covid-19 cases rising consistently in Uttarakhand, 85 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainees and staff members have tested positive for Covid at the
Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.
According to sources, trainee IAS officers and employees of LBSNAA had come to the academy campus on Sunday, out of which 442 trainee IAS officers and staff members were administered RT-PCR tests by the Health department team at Dehradun railway station. About 40 people also underwent RT-PCR tests at the academy in Mussoorie and it was found that 85 were Covid positive.
The nodal officer of Health department in Dehradun, Dr Rajiv Dikshit said that the IAS trainees and staff reached Dehradun on Sunday and RT-PCR tests were conducted at the railway station in Dehradun and at Mussoorie where it was found that 85 persons including IAS trainees and staff members were infected with the Covid virus.
