The media in-charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajeev Mehrishi has said that the failure of the double engine government of BJP is responsible for the problem of migration from mountainous parts of the state. He said that the failure of the BJP government has resulted in 1700 ghost villages in the state. Mehrishi said that the report of the migration commission suggests that there are more than one thousand such villages with less than 100 people. He said that migration from the mountainous areas of the state is a serious issue as these border villages are the second line of defence of our country. Mehrishi said that the Congress government in the state would cater to the issue of migration on priority after March 10.
