Harish Rawat, Ganesh Godiyal express gratitude for peaceful conduct of polls.
The Uttarakhand unit of Congress party has claimed that the voters of the state have voted for a change of government in the polling that was held on Monday. The head of campaign committee of Uttarakhand Congress and former chief minister Harish Rawat has expressed his gratitude for the people of the state, all political parties and the officers and employees engaged in election duty for a peaceful election in the state. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal also congratulated everyone for the safe and peaceful conduct of assembly elections. In a message he claimed that the voting trends coming from the different parts of the state clearly indicate that the people of the state have enthusiastically supported the candidates of the Congress party. Godiyal claimed that the Congress is heading for a landslide victory in the state which would usher in an inclusive and continuous development in the state.
The media in charge of Uttarakhand Congress Rajeev Mehrishi said that the voting trend clearly points out that the people of the state have given their mandate to the Congress party. He said that the commitment made by the Congress party in its ‘Char Dham Char Kam’ slogan would be implemented from March 10 when the Congress government would be formed. Mehrishi said that first of all the prices of the cooking gas cylinder would be locked at Rs 500 so that instant relief to the people of the state from rising prices is given.
