Covid-19 curve flattening in Uttarakhand

Only 2,076 active cases remaining in the state now

The state Health department reported the death of two patients from Covid 19 in Uttarakhand on Friday. It also detected 218 new cases of the disease in the state on the day. The active case count in the state has now reduced to 2,076 with the recovery of 1,377 cases on Friday. In fact the active case  count has come below the 100 figure in seven districts of the state now.

The department has so far detected 89,746 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 84,579 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 251 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.24 per cent on Friday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.68 per cent on the day.  

The authorities reported the death of one patient each at Kailash hospital and Synergy hospital Dehradun on Friday.

 The health department reported 95 new patients from Dehradun, 27 from Haridwar and 15 each from Nainital and Pithoragarh districts on Friday.

The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 2,076.  Dehradun with 607 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Pauri has 426 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 14 active cases of the disease.  In the ongoing vaccination drive 20,359 people were vaccinated in 1,150 sessions in the state held on Friday.
