The active cases count falls below 1 K Mark now in the state

The state health department reported the death of two patients from Covid 19 and detected 170 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. The authorities declared 240 patients cured on the day which reduced the active case count to 949 on Thursday.
The department has so far detected 91,035 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,400 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 260 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.17 per cent on Thursday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.60 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient each at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Shri Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun on Thursday.
The health department reported 63 new patients from Dehradun, 25 from Almora and 17 from Haridwar on Thursday. Only one patient was found in Tehri district on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 949. Dehradun with 243 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 160 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with 11 active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 11,504 people were vaccinated in 932 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
