The accused Sonu (35) who was absconding after allegedly murdering his second wife and mother-in-law with a sickle in Kashipur on Sunday has allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday. The accused has left a suicide note after allegedly committing suicide by jumping before a train in Ghaziabad. The local authorities were able to identify him due to the Aadhaar card and other documents recovered from his body.The police circle officer (CO) of Kashipur, Bir Singh informed that the police got the information that Sonu who had brutally killed two women in his house last week had committed suicide on Tuesday. The local authorities found a note near his body which reportedly states that he loved his wife Nishu (35) and regretted that he killed her and is committing suicide to “unite with her”. The CO further said that the accused had left his three kids about 100 metres away from her sister’s house in Amroha after murdering both women. “The brother-in-law of the accused informed us that Sonu had called him on Sunday after leaving his children near his house and asked them to take care of them if they could. He told them that they must assume him dead if he does not call them soon,” stated Singh. He said that a police team had left for Ghaziabad on Tuesday and will bring the body back to Kashipur on Wednesday to conduct a proper investigation.
