Only 14 new Covid-19 cases in U’khand on Sunday

The state health department reported only 14 new patients of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in Uttarakhand on Sunday. Death of no patient was reported by the department on the day. Incidentally eight out of 13 districts of the state reported no case of the disease on the day.
The authorities also declared 30 patients cured on Sunday. The department has so far detected 91,810 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 87,790 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 271 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.82 per cent on Sunday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 0.34 per cent on the day.
The health department reported nine new patients from Dehradun, two from Bageshwar and one each from Almora, Pauri and Pithoragarh districts on Sunday. No were found in the Chamoli, Champawat, Haridwar, Nainital, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Udham Singh Nagar and Uttarkashi districts of the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 361. Dehradun with 135 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 44 active cases of the disease. Tehri is at the bottom of the table with only two active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 8,650 people were vaccinated in 276 sessions in the state held on Sunday.
