Routes to remain diverted today in Doon

Many routes will remain diverted in Dehradun on Wednesday in view of the swearing-in ceremony of the new chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and ministers. The police informed that the area around the Parade Ground will remain a zero zone including Lansdowne Chowk, Kanak Chowk, Convent Chowk and the junction of the Employment Office and no vehicles or local vendors will be allowed in the area. 

Vehicles from Buddha Chowk, Darshanlal Chowk, Pacific junction and Orient Chowk will be diverted to Clock Tower and Tehsil Chowk. Vehicles from Survey Chowk will be diverted to Araghar and Beni Bazaar. The traffic from Orient Chowk and Pacific trisection will be diverted to Clock Tower and Dilaram Chowk respectively. The police informed that vehicles of the people arriving to participate in the event at Parade Ground from Rishikesh, Tehri, Thano and Raipur will be parked near Nanaksar Gurudwara at Raipur Road. Vehicles arriving from Haridwar will be parked near Rispana bridge, Dharampur and in the premises of Bannu School and Guru Nanak Inter College. Vehicles, including public buses arriving from the Chakrata area, will be parked near The Doon School after dropping passengers at Bindal bridge. People arriving from Roorkee and Saharanpur on buses will be dropped at Saharanpur Chowk and the buses will be parked in Hindu National Inter College near Lakshman Chowk. Vehicles arriving from the Mussoorie route will be parked on the ground of Survey of India, Hathibadkala after dropping the passengers at Dilaram Chowk. The VVIPs’ vehicles will enter from Survey Chowk and will be parked in the designated places. The police said that the vehicles arriving from outside areas will not be allowed entry beyond the barrier points-

Dilaram Chowk, Dharampur Chowk, Bindal Bridge Tiraha, Saharanpur Chowk and Sahastradhara Crossing, to reach the venue.
