The police found a 15-year-old school girl of Rishikesh in Uttar Pradesh after she was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a resident of the neighbouring state. The police have not arrested the accused yet.The police informed that they received a complaint about the girl who went missing after she left for school at 9:30 AM on March 26. The police started the investigation and also reviewed the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area. After receiving information through the informers, the police finally found the girl in the Etah district of Uttar Pradesh on March 29. According to the police, the girl has stated during the investigation that the accused Pravesh Pal lured her into going with him and sexually assaulted her after arriving in UP. The police said that a case has been filed against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police are looking into the matter and will nab the accused soon, said the police.
