Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government has taken new resolutions to ensure the all-round development of Uttarakhand. He said this after inaugurating the Bharatiya Janata Party’s micro-donation campaign at an event here on Sunday evening.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhami said that it is a matter of pride that the BJP is today the biggest political party in the world. “Our organisation follows the principle of ‘nation first, organisation second and individual last’. The dreams of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Atal Bihari Vajpayee are being fulfilled today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The nation is progressing in all sectors under the leadership of PM Modi,” said the chief minister.
He said that new resolutions have been taken for all-round development of Uttarakhand with the formation of the new government. The officials have been directed to lay special focus on simplification, solution and redressal. The government’s priority will always remain to ensure taking the services of the government and administration to the last person in the queue, he added.
He further said, “As per our promise, in the first cabinet meeting after taking oath of office, it was decided that a committee of legal experts, retired judges and prominent persons of society along with other stakeholders will be formed to prepare the draft of Uniform Civil Code for Uttarakhand. This Uniform Civil Code will facilitate the same law for all citizens irrespective of the religion they follow. Along with this, we also raise the allowance of sanitation workers to Rs 500 per day. In the new budget the government has promised to facilitate three free cooking gas cylinders per year for poor families and this promise will be fulfilled. The State government also took a big decision on old age pension scheme by making both the wife and husband eligible for it. To put a check on corruption, we have launched corruption-free Uttarakhand- 1064 app,” said the CM.
