The Dehradun additional district magistrate (ADM) KK Mishra conducted a virtual meeting with the officials concerned to discuss the arrangements of Swasthya Mela on the fourth anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He directed the departments concerned to make arrangements for proper seating, drinking water and tents arrangements among other facilities for the people coming to the health fair to be organised in all six blocks of the district. He also directed the sub-divisional magistrates (SDMs) to take initiatives to increase the participation of locals in their respective areas.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Manoj Kumar Upreti informed in the meeting that teleconsultation programmes will be organised on April 16 in all health and wellness centres while programmes under Eat Right India and Fit India will be organised on April 17 for the public. He said that the Swasthya Mel will be organised in the Kalsi block on April 18, Chakrata and Doiwala blocks on April 20, and Vikasnagar block on April 21 and in Sahaspur and Raipur block on April 22. He said that there will be specialists and doctors for the health check-ups. All the people aged above 60 years with eye issues will be provided spectacles for free of cost in the Swasthya Mela, said the CMO. He said that the department will also install stalls to make Ayushman cards for people too.
