Literary dialogue held with author Amit Srivastava

A literary dialogue programme was organised with author Amit Srivastava on his story collections book Kotwal Ka Hookah here on Sunday. The book which has been published by Kavyansh Prakashan contains several short and long stories on several sensitive issues. The young litterateur Shrikant Dubey and programme moderator Nitin Upadhyay discussed the craft of the stories with Amit Srivastava who said that he writes as he observes and sees around him. He said that experiments are being done in the country and around the world regarding story writing rather than following a stereotypical approach. The litterateurs said at the event that there is an echo of concrete reality in Srivastava’s writings and the language of the book is so simple that anyone can read and understand it. Writer and director of Urban Development Directorate (UDD) Lalit Mohan Rayal and Director General (DG) of Information Ranveer Chauhan also shared their views on the book at the event.
