HC Semwal made chairman of committee on revamped RGSA

The government of India has nominated the secretary, women and child development, Uttarakhand, H C Semwal as chairman of a committee which would revisit the implementation framework for revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) in the country. The committee would submit the revised framework within 15 days. In an order the under secretary to government of India, Ministry of Panchayati Raj Sanjay Kumar Upadhyaya said that the committee would formulate the implementation framework of revamped RGSA taking into consideration the learning of RGSA implemented from 2018-19 to 2021-22 and the changes under the revamped RGSA. The director Panchayati Raj , Madhya Pradesh, Alok Kumar Singh, the director Ministry of Panchayati Raj Government of India, S S Prasad, Joint director state institute of rural development Odisha Saroj Das and Director state institute of rural development Sikkim Bishal Mukhia would be the members of the committee chaired by Semwal.
It is worth mentioning here that HC Semwal has a vast experience of Panchayati Raj bodies and institutions while working with Panchayati Raj department of Uttarakhand. He however is not heading the Panchayati Raj department in the state now.
