The state health department of Uttarakhand reported 24 new patients of the Covid-19 in the state on Thursday. Death of no patient was reported from in the state on the day. The authorities also declared 17 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 92,486 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 88,861 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 275 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 96.08 per cent on Thursday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.54 per cent on the day. The health department reported eight new patients from Dehradun, three each from Almora, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital, two from Tehri and one each from Champawat and Pauri on Thursday.
Dehradun with 79 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 10 and Nainital eight active cases of the disease. Pithoragarh and Rudraprayag districts have no active cases of the disease. In the ongoing vaccination drive 20,292 people were vaccinated in 1027 sessions in the state held on Thursday.
