Additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan has directed officials of the Rural Development department to prepare an integrated plan to check migration while involving all the departments concerned. He issued this direction while chairing a review meeting with chief development officers of all districts except Champawat to review works of the Rural Development department.
He said that focus should be laid on coordination with other departments through convergence of the Mahatma Gandhi rural employment guarantee scheme. The works done through convergence should be presented in the next meeting, he said. While stressing on the need to maintain quality in the works,Bardhan added that success and failure stories in all schemes conducted by the Rural Development department should be prepared and presented. The outcome of the schemes should be analysed.He also issued instructed regarding the implementation of national rural livelihood mission and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushalya Yojana. Bardhan directed that all homes under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana- Gramin should be completed by July 2022. Further, the works under the Pradhanmantri Gramin Sadak Yojana should be completed by September 2022. The owners of the lands acquired should be provided the compensation without delay, he added. Stress should be laid on encouraging reverse migration to check migration and an integrated plan should be prepared for this purpose, said Bardhan.
