Dry weather forecast in State today

Moderate to heavy rain was experienced in various parts of the State on Thursday. The provisional State capital Dehradun also experienced a spell of rain during the evening. However, according to the State meteorological centre, the rainy spell will not continue for now. According to the weather forecast, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State on Friday. Surface winds are likely to be strong and gusty during the day time at isolated places. Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear sky with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 35 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday.
Meanwhile, the rain recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday was 70 millimetres in Dangoli, 42 millimetres in Kanalichhina, 40.5 millimetres in Rudraprayag, 40 millimetres in Bageshwar, 30.5 millimetres in Jakholi, 23.5 millimetres at Didihat/Bhainsiya-Channa, 22.5 millimetres at Agastyamuni and 22 millimetres at Berinag. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places on Thursday were 35.2 degrees Celsius and 24.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.6 degrees Celsius and 24.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 25.1 degrees Celsius and 14.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.2 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
