The campaigning for the Champawat Assembly bypolls is intensifying as the date of polling approaches near. While the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is taking out from official duties to interact with citizens in the constituency, his wife Geeta Dhami is busy interacting with the voters in Champawat.
Geeta Dhami is spending her days campaigning along with her team for her husband from the morning till the evening. On Thursday, she reached Tanakpur along with her team. Amidst the heat and humidity she spent time sipping tea at the eatery of Mahadev Bhatt at Swanla. She interacted with the locals while having her tea. Asking the people about the schemes being executed by the State government she checked if the benefits of the schemes were being received by the locals or not. Interacting with the women, she appealed to them to derive the benefit of the governmental schemes. Giving their views, the locals appreciated the various public welfare schemes of the state government, adding that they were happy at the chief minister contesting the Assembly bypoll from Champawat constituency.
