Panamanian couple gets married as Hindus in Gangotri

Sanatan Dharma and India’s traditions continue to influence even the residents of distant nations. One such Panamanian couple was so much influenced by Hinduism and Indian traditions that they solemnised their marriage according to Hindu rituals at Gangotri. The Teerth Purohits of Gangotri conducted their marriage as per Hindu rituals. Panama residents Jose Gonjalen and Filizabeth got married in Gangotri as per Indian traditions. Jose applied Sindoor to Filizabeth’s head and the duo also circled the holy ritual fire seven times as per tradition. Teerth Purohit at Gangotri, Vipin Semwal and Ganga Purohit Sabha head Pawan Semwal conducted the marriage rituals on the occasion.The two priests said that the Panamanian couple is deeply influenced by Hindu culture. They believe that there is peace in the culture and spirituality of India due to which they decided to get married in Gangotri according to Hindu tradition. After getting married, the husband and wife also offered prayers in the temple of goddess Ganga.
