AIIMS- Rishikesh holds workshop to reduce stress on students

The administration of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh organised a youth empowerment skills workshop on Monday. Speaking on the occasion the dean academics, Dr Manoj Gupta said that such programs are essential for students as they are undergoing professional courses which demand a lot of hard work and focus.
The principal of the College of Nursing, Dr Smriti Arora insisted on the need for de-stressing and urged students to undergo the course with full integrity and enthusiasm. The director, Art of Living, Rishikesh Centre Nirmal Matella
said that students must try to become a better version of themselves having competition only with their previous self and not with each other.
During this program, the participants took part in a session of Yoga and meditation.
The workshop was held in the backdrop of recent suicide by a second year student in the institute. The student was said to be under stress.
