Heavy rain is likely in four districts of the State today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Thursday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in the districts of Uttarakhand with intense showers also likely at isolated places in the State’s mountainous regions. The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur in some areas.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Thursday. As seen a day ago, a spell of rain during the afternoon resulted in roads in various parts of the city overflowing with water, causing much inconvenience to the locals and affecting the flow of traffic.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Wednesday were 32.8 degrees Celsius and 25.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.1 degrees Celsius and 26.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.6 degrees Celsius and 18.6 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
