AAP opposes Roadways fare hike

The Uttarakhand unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the recent hike in the fare of roadways buses as a major burden on the general public already reeling under acute price rise.
The media in charge of Garhwal region of the party Ravindra Singh Anand said that the people of low and middle income categories travel mostly in the roadways buses and the hike in the roadways fare has broken the back of the poor. He reminded that the BJP had given the slogan ‘ Bahut Hui Mehangai Ki Maar, Abki Bar BJP Sarkar’ but now after cornering the votes of the people it is moving in the opposite direction as prices of everything have skyrocketed.
He said that lakhs of the poor people in the state who work hard to meet ends but the increase in the roadways fares have loaded additional burden on their shoulders.
