Very heavy rain likely in three districts of Kumaon today

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in parts of three districts in the Kumaon region today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Tuesday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Almora, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts and at a few places in remaining districts with intense showers at isolated places in the districts of Uttarakhand.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall / thundershowers likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 32.3 degrees Celsius and 22.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.1 degrees Celsius and 25.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21.2 degrees Celsius and 15.1 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.6 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri. There was 7.1 millimetres rain in Dehradun, 51 millimetres in Haldwani, 33 millimetres in Tanakpur and 30 millimetres in Banbasa.
