The vice chancellor of Uttarakhand Ayurvedic University, Sunil Joshi was felicitated recently during a two-day international conclave held in Jamia Millia Islamia Hamdard University on multi-targeted therapeutics in Unani and Ayurvedic medicine and food supplement. Professor Joshi was felicitated by the Indian Association for the Study of Traditional Asian Medicine with the IASTAM award for his commendable contribution to the field of Ayurvedic surgery and surgical therapy.
The president of IASTAM Dr CK Katiyar said that professor Sunil Joshi has been an extraordinarily talented and skilled Ayurvedic surgeon at Banaras Hindu University. He did surgical operations using the Ayurvedic method and having established surgical science on the world stage, contributed actively to establishing the Ayurvedic surgery methods mentioned in Ayurveda.
