IHM students prepare 75 dishes in three colours

Various competitions were held at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) here on Saturday. The students of the institute also prepared 75 types of dishes in the colours of the national flag to mark the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of independence. The State’s Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj was the chief guest on the occasion.
The cabinet minister viewed the dishes made by the students of the IHM as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav here on Saturday. He also awarded the winners of the chef competition, mocktail competition and housekeeping competition held in the institute on the occasion. Greeting the students, principal and faculty members of the institute on the occasion, Maharaj said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on Saturday for the nation to celebrate its culture and glorious history. He appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the IHM to mark the occasion. The minister expressed happiness observing that IHM had organised various competitions and events from August 13 to 15 to celebrate 75 years of independence. The IHM principal Jagdeep Khanna, faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.
