Seniorneurosurgeon of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dr Mahesh Ramola and his team have claimed to have invented a new model of rubber band technique in the field of minimal invasive neurosurgery. Named Ramola rubber band technique after its inventor, the model is arguably the cheapest Micro Retreater System in minimal invasive neurosurgery. The invention of Dr Ramola has been published in World Neurosurgery Journal which is the most reputed medical journal in the discipline of neurosurgery.
The hospital authorities claimed that after international stamp of approval on ‘Ramola Rubber Band Technique’, it has become easy for neuro and spine surgeons to perform Micro Dysterectomy surgeries without the costly retractor system.
