In a development that keeps police on their toes a day before the start of G-20 summit in Ramnagar, the founder of the separatist organisation “Sikhs For Justice” Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is being heard on pre- recorded audios on many mobile phones across the state. Such audios are claiming that Ramnagar is not a part of India but a part of Khalistan and warning the receivers of the audios against going to Ramnagar for the summit. Several media persons and government employees have received the pre- recorded audios on their phones. Pannu further asked in the pre-recorded audios for putting up Khalistani flags at airport and railway stations in Ramnagar area in support of the formation of a separate state for the Sikh community, replacing the Indian flags.
Taking the matter seriously, the DGP Uttarakhand Ashoke Kumar ordered investigation. STF has been engaged to probe the pre-recorded audios heard on mobile phones. Earlier, such pre-recorded audios came on March 15 during the Amritsar G-20 summit.
