A fake certificate maker arrested from Haldwani

In latest Uttarakhand news, the Banbhoolpoora police team arrested a man who was allegedly making fake certificates, including birth certificates, to be sold and seized documents and devices from him. Police said that while working as a temporary Aadhar card operator of a bank, he was engaged in preparing fake certificates.

The police became alert after a person complained that a man named Sanjeet had been selling birth and other certificates to people. A police team was formed under the direction of the Banbhoolpoora police station in-charge Neeraj Bhakuni and Sanjeet (35) was arrested.

Police informed that though the accused originally hails from Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh he was currently living in a house on Bareilly Road in Haldwani of Nainital district. Police seized the accused’s mobile phone and several PDF documents, including fake birth and other certificates. During interrogation, he said that he would use the devices/machines of the bank of which he was a temporary employee to make the system of churning out fake certificates.
