AAP accuses CM of politicising Tilu Rauteli awards

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Dehradun raised objections on the selection process for the Tilu Rauteli awards alleging that the Uttarakhand government presented awards mostly to those women who are associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The AAP members called it an insult to warrior Tilu Rauteli. Except for a few names of award winners, most of the winners are either BJP workers or the daughters and wives of BJP leaders, averred one of the spokesmen of AAP, Sanjay Bhatt.
“This award is given to women for their exemplary contribution in their fields but chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has started an extremely wrong tradition by politicising the awards. He must answer the public for such actions that violate the sanctity of a heroic icon of Uttarakhand,” stated Bhatt.
