A delegation of senior leaders of Aam Aadmi Party from Uttarakhand met the newly appointed state in-charge of the party Barinder Kumar Goyal at his residence on Friday. The new in-charge of the State unit of AAP is an MLA from Punjab. The leaders of Uttarakhand AAP gave him detailed information about the party’s organisational activities in the state. The delegation was led by the Convenor of the Uttarakhand unit of the party Jot Singh Bisht and included State party vice presidents R P Raturi, Naresh Sharma and Azad Ali.

Goyal said that soon after the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election, he would visit Uttarakhand and review the party’s organisation in detail.  He further said that the party is supreme and one should be loyal to the party and its leader. “We are all soldiers of our leader Arvind Kejriwal. We all must work hard to build the party from the grassroots in the State so that the party becomes a vigilant guard for the interests of the common people of the Devbhoomi Uttarakhand,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that the AAP had recently replaced both the in-charge and co-in-charge of the party in Uttarakhand. It appointed Punjab MLA Goyal in place of Dinesh Mohaniya who is MLA in Delhi assembly. The party has appointed Delhi MLA Rohit Mehrolia as co-in-charge of the party.
