AAP MP Bhagwant Mann pledges support for farmers
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP from Punjab Bhagwant Mann has said that the Central Government is trying its best to convert the farmers’ ongoing protest against farm laws into a failure but the farmers must not give up.
Mann who reached agriculture town of Kashipur on Tuesday as the first day of a two-day tour of Uttarakhand to kickstart the Kisan Nyay Yatra said while addressing the protestors that the BJP led Central Government is not even helping the farmers protesting in Delhi on humanitarian grounds in such harsh winters but the AAP is providing them all the necessary facilities including food, electricity, water, toilets, tents and medical help. “The Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal himself examines all the facilities and aid being given to the protestors in Delhi”, said Mann. He said that the nearby Gurudwaras are also quite helpful in providing essential amenities to protestors and the Delhi government is grateful for it.
Mann stated that the BJP Government is trying to lure farmers with various proposals but farmers must continue to fight for their rights. Furthermore, Mann said AAP will continue the Kisan Nyay Yatra on Wednesday from Kichha and Sitarganj constituencies towards Khatima on the last day of his tour.
