Considering the recent death of an eight-year-old child after a toilet roof of a government primary school collapsed in Pati block of Champawat district, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) questioned the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s vision of making Uttarakhand the best State by 2025 when the condition of the government schools continues to deteriorate with time.

The Garhwal media in-charge of AAP, Ravindra Singh Anand said that a child lost his life and five got seriously injured in the unfortunate incident at a government school in CM’s own constituency that shows the level of inclination of the government towards the betterment of government schools. He said that over 2,000 government schools have been shut down in the past five years due to constant disregard of the BJP-led government towards the government schools and education. “Would it be wrong to say that the government probably neglects the government schools intentionally to benefit the business of private schools across the State? Would it be wrong to say that most of the private schools are either owned by politicians or their relatives? CM himself promised to improve the conditions of the government school during his election campaign but they were probably just for the sake of the elections. How the CM plans to make Uttarakhand the best State when these basic issues are not being resolved by him,” said the AAP leader.
