The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Arvind Kejriwal has released its first list of candidates for the Uttarakhand assembly elections. There are a total of 24 candidates on the list. The CM candidate of the party, Colonel Ajay Kothiyal is among the candidates. Apart from Kothiyal from Gangotri, Shishupal Singh Rawat from Ramnagar, Bhupesh Upadhyay from Kapkot, Deepak Bali from Kashipur, Basant Kumar from Bageshwar (SC), Prem Singh from Bhagwanpur (SC), Amit Joshi from Almora, Dimple Singh from Rajpur Road (SC), Yunus Chaudhary from Jaspur, Suresh Singh Bisht from Sult, Prashant Rai from Ranipur, Vijay Shah from Ghansali (SC), Navneet Rathi from Mangalore, Rajesh Bisht from Lohaghat, Madan Mahar from Champawat, Samit Tikku from Haldwani, Manohar Lal Pahariya from Pauri (SC), Raje Negi from Rishikesh, Harish Arya from Someshwar (SC), Digmohan Negi from Chaubattakhal, Praveen Bansal from Vikasnagar, E. Shadab Alam from Piran Kaliyar, Naresh Sharma from Haridwar (rural) and Ajay Jaiswal from Sitarganj are the party’s candidates. The AAP in charge said that the party is yet to announce other names as well.
