AAP urges public to check past manifestos before casting votes

Saturday, 04 December 2021 | PNS | Dehradun

Delhi cabinet minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Rajendra Pal Gautam said that the public of Uttarakhand should check out the past manifestos of BJP and Congress before casting votes to verify how many promises these parties actually fulfilled after winning the elections. Gautam visited Rajpur and Doiwala constituencies on Friday ahead of state assembly elections next year. He addressed the public during his rally in these constituencies and promised that the AAP’s government will fulfil every promise made by the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal unlike the other parties.

In a Press conference in the AAP’s office in Dehradun, Gautam said that the public is yet to see the development in Uttarakhand for which martyrs sacrificed their lives. He said that despite having successive governments in the state for the past 21 years, Congress and BJP have failed to do significant development works. He said that such parties buy votes with money. Their aim is to form the government by using money and making false promises to the public, added the AAP leader.

He said that the public should check out the previous manifestos of these two parties and compare which promises were made before the elections and which were actually fulfilled. He asserted that the public here should also check out AAP’s Delhi manifesto to compare what promises the party made and how many of those promises were fulfilled. “After the public checks these manifestos, they will know AAP is the best alternative to form the government next year,” stated Gautam.
