The Bharatiya Janata Party got another boost on Tuesday when the former State president of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Deepak Bali joined BJP in presence of BJP State president Madan Kaushik, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other party leaders.
Welcoming Bali to the BJP, Kaushik said that his entry will further strengthen the party.
Expressing his views, Bali said that he left the AAP due to its work culture and the disappointment he faced due to his nationalistic ideology. He said that he was already impressed by the developmental works done by Dhami and the nationalist ideology of the BJP. Dhami’s thumping victory ensured by support of the people in the Champawat Assembly by-poll confirmed his decision to join the BJP, added Bali.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhami said that AAP has been completely decimated in Uttarakhand. He said that first the chief ministerial candidate of AAP colonel (retd) Ajay Kothiyal joined BJP and now the former state president Bali has joined the BJP. He claimed that after Uttarakhand, the AAP is now heading for decimation in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and other states. The CM said that in the last eight years a new work culture has developed in the country and the status of the nation has increased in the global community. Dhami said that BJP has emerged stronger under his leadership and more and more people are joining the party. He added that nationalism was always a part of the ideology of Bali.
The BJP State general secretaries Kuldeep Kumar, Suresh Bhatt and others were present on the occasion.
