In view of the reduction in the number of Covid-19 cases, the state health agency (SHA) has re-imposed the system of referral for treatment in listed private hospitals under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (AAUY). For treatment in the private hospitals that are in the panel of the scheme the card holders should now have to take referral from the listed government hospitals.
However in the all listed NABH approved hospitals, medical colleges and the district hospitals the card holders can visit directly. The chief executive officer (CEO) of State Health Agency Arunendra Singh Chauhan said that the old system of referral which was suspended during the pandemic period has been restarted for treatment in the listed private hospitals.
