 ABAP announces Shahi Snan dates of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025

The Akhil Bharatiya Akhada Parishad (ABAP) and the Kumbh Mela administration have announced the unanimously fixed dates of the shahi snans during the Maha Kumbh to be held in Prayagraj in 2025. As per the announcement, the series of shahi snans during this great religious congregation will start on January 13 and end on February 26 2025. The first shahi snan would be held on the occasion of Paush Purnima and this would mark the beginning of the 45-day Maha Kumbh 2025. It is learnt that the representatives of all the 13 akhadas participated in the meeting with the administration.

During the meeting, discussions were held on many important projects, including the renovation of Bharadwaj Ashram and 12th Madhav Mandir corridor in Prayagraj.

As per the announcement, the second shahi snan would be held on January 14 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the third one on January 29 on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the fourth one on February 3 on the occasion of Vasant Panchami, the fifth one on February 12 on the occasion of Maghi Purnima and the sixth and the last snan would be held on February 26 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

An estimated 40 crore people are expected to attend the Maha Kumbh 2025. It is also learnt that the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath would make the official announcement about the Maha Kumbh at the right time.

The Kumbh Mela officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that schemes worth Rs 2.5 crore have already been approved by the administration, adding that the entrances of this pilgrimage centre would be built in accord with the landscaping science and along with it the main temples would be renovated.
