Abducted minor rescued from Shimla

In latest news from Dehradun, a minor girl abducted from Kunna village in the mountainous Chakrata region was rescued by police from a village near Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. Police said that a person had lodged a missing complaint on April 11 at police station, alleging that his minor sister had gone missing on April 7 when she was heading towards her elder sister’s house at a village near Mussoorie and was untraced for four days. Thereafter, police registered a case under section 365 of Indian Penal Code and started investigation. Police found her location through surveillance at Chirgaon in Shimla. A team was immediately sent to Chirgaon and the abducted minor was rescued, safe and sound. After medical examination was conducted as per the court’s order, she was sent to Nari Niketan in Dehradun. Further, police arrested the accused identified as Ankit from Kunna village in Chakrata region.
