The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that the dominance of anti-social elements in the State is the main reason for continuously increasing heinous crimes in the State. Such people are successfully settling here and establishing their dominance due to the absence of strict land laws in the State.

The shootout at Dobhal Chowk in the Nehrugram area of Raipur block late on June 15 and the suicide case of builder Satendra Singh Sahni are the prime examples in which the culprit belonged to the other states, the AAP leader Ravindra Anand said. He said that the negligence of the government is the main cause of such crimes due to which the citizens here are not able to live peacefully.

The State government continues to ignore the need for a strong land law due to which the people with criminal tendencies from other states are taking refuge here and disturbing the peace and harmony. Anand said that the government only knows how to do vote bank politics and does nothing to address the cause of the loss of life and property of the people. The government continues to be apathetic despite seeing the miserable condition of the public, he added.
