Despite the drop in new Covid-19 cases in the state the testing should not be decreased. Stating this, the chief secretary Om Prakash directed officials to achieve the target of conducting 40,000 Covid tests per day. He was chairing a meeting regarding preparations for the possible third wave of Covid here on Thursday.
The chief secretary said that completing all preparations for the probable third wave on time, child specialists and nurses should be provided training for Covid care as per clinical protocol. He also directed the officials to prepare a plan by June 30 for all necessary arrangements in the hospitals including oxygen masks for children and medicines. Stating that there has been considerable improvement in the availability of oxygen in the state, he said that more oxygen plants will be set up in the state in the near future.
