In latest news from Dehradun, the additional chief secretary Radha Raturi chaired a meeting with the officers concerned at the Secretariat on the upcoming 6th World Congress on Disaster Management (WCDM) scheduled to be held in Graphic Era University in Dehradun from November 28 to December 1. She stressed at the meeting that all arrangements for this international congregation should be completed in time as per the direction of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. She further said that it is going to be a momentous event for Uttarakhand and so it is the responsibility of all the departments to make it a huge success. Notably, 70 sessions would be held in course of this Congress during which disaster experts at the national and international levels would deliver speeches. The ACS further said that as around 600 delegates are likely to participate in the congress, all arrangements should be made for their proper boarding and lodging.
