The State Health department reported 56 new cases of the Covid-19 on Tuesday from different parts of the State. Death of no patient was reported in the State on the day. The authorities also declared 16 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 93,527 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 89,627 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 278 patients have died in the State since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.83 per cent on Tuesday. The positivity rate of the disease further increased to 4.09 per cent on the day.
The Health department reported 38 new patients each from Dehradun, six from Haridwar, three each from Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar, two each from Almora and Nainital and one each from Bageshwar and Tehri district on Tuesday. No new cases were reported from Chamoli, Champawat, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts on the day.
The number of active patients of Covid-19 in the State increased to 299 on Tuesday. Dehradun with 200 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 36 active cases. Rudraprayag is the only district which has no active cases of the disease now. In the ongoing vaccination drive 15,380 people were vaccinated in 870 sessions in the state held on Tuesday.
