The warmth of deepening romance has reached engagement as actors Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi shared pictures on Instagram at midnight which revealed their engagement. The engagement ceremony, held at Varun’s residence in Hyderabad, was kept a strictly private affair attended only by close relatives and friends. The pictures they shared showed both exchanging their engagement rings. While Varun was clothed in kurta pyjama Lavanya was dressed in a green saree. They are known to have been in love for the past five years but they kept it to themselves, shrouded in secrecy. Meanwhile, congratulatory messages keep pouring in for the couple from their near ones after the pictures were shared.
The event has not come as a surprise as the news of their engagement was being heard for the past few weeks. It is believed that they will get married later this year.
They met first on the sets of Mister in 2017. Close friendship developed between them during the film’s shooting. In due course, friendship evolved into love and love into deep love. However, they made it a point to keep the deepening romance between them away from the public glare. Those close to the stars say that they received approval of their marriage from their respective parents before they embarked on the official engagement.
