In latest news from Uttarakhand, the sacred Adi Kailash/ Om Parvat Yatra commenced with the first batch leaving the KMVN guest house in Kathgodam. The general manager KMVN Vijay Nath Sukla green-flagged the first batch after the pilgrims were welcomed traditionally. Sukla said that the first batch comprises 49 pilgrims-31 men and 17 women. This batch will return to Kathgodam after visiting Adi Kailash, Om Parvat and some other ancient temples located across Kumaun region for eight days. He further said that so far 488 persons have registered for this pilgrimage.
Notably, KMVN arranges food and lodging facilities for the pilgrims during this yatra.
