Adi Shankaracharya’s seat reaches Jyotirmath

Following the closure of Badrinath Dham on Sunday, the seat of Adi Shankaracharya reached the winter abode of the lord at the Narsinh Mandir in Jyotirmath to the accompaniment of the army band the devotees on Tuesday. The local residents and other devotees welcomed the procession with a shower of flowers.The procession was welcomed by devotees at various locations. Uddhav and Kuber will spend the winter at Pandukeshwar, where they will be ceremoniously worshipped during the six months when the main shrine is closed to the public. The seat of Adi Shankaracharya was brought to Jyotirmath by the Rawal, Dharmadhikari and others.
